Crockpot chicken teriyaki

Im trying a new recipe today.  Crockpot Chicken Teriyaki, which I found on Pinterest.  Its just my kids and I tonight, Hubby is working late, and the kids want hot dogs (barf).  So I took a couple of boneless, skinless chicken breasts, enough for myself and hubby when he gets home, and cubed them up.  I tossed them in the crockpot with a cup of low sodium chicken broth, 1/2 cup of roasted garlic teriyaki sauce, 3 minced cloves of garlic (yep, I love me some garlic!), and 1/3 cup of brown sugar.  I probably will pair it with some broccoli tonight when its done.  So far, my kitchen smells amazing.

So dinner didn't come out looking like it did on Pinterest, but it did taste amazing.  On the pin, its more of a glazed chicken.  Mine ended up more of a liquid sauce that I could spoon over the chicken.  I missed that glazed look, but it tasted just as good as I imagined.  I did add mushrooms to the crockpot because I love mushrooms and we had some in the fridge.  I ended up making a salad for my side, with Romaine, cranberries, cucumber, a little seasoning and a few croutons.  Hubby made some rice to go with his chicken and he said it tasted good that way, too.  I think we'll be making it again.
